OVERVIEW
Since the execution of the initial 2016 Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) and its subsequent renewal and expansion in 2022, the State of Maryland and the Embassy of Japan have maintained an active, results-oriented partnership that has advanced shared economic, trade, academic, and innovation objectives. The relationship has moved beyond formal agreements to sustained implementation, producing measurable outcomes in foreign direct investment, job creation, technology deployment, and institutional collaboration.
