    about us

Our Government Affairs Team Gives You the Advantage

Extensive relationships throughout Maryland government enable our team to advocate for and strategically influence public policies that impact your business. Politically balanced and client-focused, Old Line is uniquely positioned to be your trusted partner in legislative, procurement and regulatory matters.

The strong relationships Joe has nurtured over the years with legislative and executive leaders is clearly apparent. Joe played a critical role in drafting a bill and testimony that resulted in the passage of legislation outlawing the sale of counterfeit replacement airbags. His ability to communicate our position to the legislative leadership and administration officials created an awareness of the potentially deadly hazards posed to Marylanders by traffickers of counterfeit and non-functional replacement airbags and restraint system components. As a result of Joe’s efforts, Maryland became the 12th state in the country to enact such a law.

    ~ Ember Brillhart
    Manager, State Relations, Honda

The team at Old Line Government affairs provides a valuable service to FEI in the State of Maryland. Brett, Joe, and Tim are very engaged with our operations and give credence to the notion of being strategic advisors navigating the complex landscape of State government. Our team at FEI relies on Old Line’s bipartisan access, varied experiences, and thoughtful advice to help us move forward in Maryland.

    ~ Dave Castille
    COO, FEI Systems

Brett led the effort in Maryland to create a predictable regulatory framework upon which the travel insurance industry can operate in the State. His strong insurance regulatory background, combined with his experience with the legislative process and relationships with members of the Maryland General Assembly, enabled the passage of critical legislation that became a model for passage in other states across the country.

You’re always available to me. If I have a problem with something and I need it explained, I’ll just text you, you’ll show up in my office, and you’ll explain to me your point of view. I really appreciate that. ----- I think it’s good for your clients, but it’s also good for public policy because rather than having a dance, we just have a frank conversation and just work it out.

    ~ Chairman Kumar Barve
    Maryland State Delegate, District 17
