Tim E. Braue is President of Old Line Government Affairs, a subsidiary of Nemphos Braue LLC, for which he is a Founding Member. Prior to forming Nemphos Braue and Old Line Government Affairs, Tim held high-level positions in both federal and Maryland state government. Tim served in the White House as Deputy Associate Director of Presidential Personnel, was appointed by President George W. Bush to be Counsel to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice, and was named Deputy Appointments Secretary, serving with former Governor of Maryland Larry Hogan.

He led Governor Hogan’s transition team for economic development and education agencies and served as the chairman of the Harford County Judicial Nominating Commission.

In 2018, Tim was appointed by the Governor to be a Member of the Task Force to Study State Alcohol Regulation, Enforcement, Safety, and Public Health.

A practicing attorney and member at Nemphos Braue, Tim has worked at some of the largest corporate practice law firms in the world, leading transaction teams in complex, multibillion-dollar financing and acquisitions.

Tim serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, the Advisory Board for the Maryland Momentum Fund, and the Board of Directors for the Claire Marie Foundation.

Most recently, Tim joined the Board of Directors for the Maryland Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, supporting the organization’s initiatives around fundraising, raising awareness and searching for a cure.

Admitted to practice in Maryland, Tim is a 1997 cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University Law School and a 1992 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
