The annual Legislative Summit for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) was held this year in Louisville. For the nation’s largest gathering of legislators and legislative staff, Old Line’s team was in attendance, meeting with members from the Maryland General Assembly and staff, as well as the National League of Women Lobbyists, led by Old Line’s Sherry Nickerson.
The announcement follows several months of discussion regarding congressional redistricting and recent court decisions affecting the legal landscape in multiple states.
As of July 1, numerous new laws have taken effect, addressing topics ranging from education and public safety to utilities, consumer protection, healthcare, and business regulation.
