New laws go into effect October 1 that could impact your commute and driving throughout Maryland. From moving over for stopped vehicles and emergency responders, to an update in child safety seat laws, drivers need to be aware of updates that could result in a ticket or increased fines.
The Maryland Highway Safety Office prepared an overview of the law changes.
Governor Hogan has also declared October to be Move Over Awareness Month in recognition of the expanded law.
