Maryland Governor Wes Moore held two final post-session bill signing ceremonies this month, approving the budget, addressing areas including the Chesapeake Bay, the procurement process, energy and prescription drug prices. Moore also vetoed 23 bills including the Reparations Commission bill.
On May 13, 2025, Moore signed more than 170 bills into law, including The Chesapeake Bay Legacy Act, which aims to decrease runoff into the bay, unify testing efforts and streamline oyster aquaculture leasing.

In the final bill signing ceremony on May 20, 2025, Moore signed the Budget Bill for FY2026 and 180 additional bills into law. The budget was among the most significant issues addressed by legislators, given significant deficits and federal spending cuts.
