Moore Administration Announces Cabinet Posts

Governor-elect Wes Moore’s cabinet is shaping up to be the most diverse in state history.

Today, Governor-Elect Wes Moore announced multiple appointments to his cabinet:

  • Dr. Laura Herrera Scott as Secretary of Health
  • Portia Wu as the Secretary of Labor
  • Rafael López as the Secretary of Human Services
  • Atif Chaudhry as the Secretary of General Services
  • Anthony Woods as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
  • Vincent Schiraldi as the Secretary of Juvenile Services

Earlier this week, Moore also announced the nomination of state Sen. Susan Lee (D-Montgomery) to be Maryland’s next secretary of State – which, if approved, would leave a vacancy in the Senate and the possibility of more legislature changes as a result.
