“We were open seven days a week, twenty hours a day,” Joe said.
The Neighborhood Corner Bar is a new exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, highlighting the corner bars–or saloons–that became fixtures in working-class neighborhoods throughout Baltimore from the 1870s to 1920.
One of those bars was American Joe’s – the bar owned by the family of Old Line’s Senior Director of Government Affairs American Joe Miedusiewski.
WMAR’s Jamie Costello caught up with American Joe and his brother Dennis at the corner of Luzerne and Foster to reminisce and share memories about the popular hangout.
