Maryland Governor Wes Moore signed 286 bills into law on April 25, 2024, with legislation addressing housing, the House Speaker’s “Decency Agenda” and the prevention of book banning in libraries, salary transparency and more.
Moore signed 120 bills into law on April 9, 2024, soon after the end of the legislative session. Among those signed was the Maryland Protecting Opportunities and Regional Trade (PORT) Act, providing assistance to workers impacted by the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
