As of January 2022, here’s where candidates stand as far as money in the bank for their campaigns.
With a long list of gubernatorial candidates, Peter Franchot currently has the most money banked, but Wes Moore raised more than any other first-time candidate for Maryland Governor with $4,800,000.
The Comptroller race is also breaking fundraising records. If either Tim Adams or Brooke Lierman wins, it will be the first time the Maryland Comptroller is not a white male. If Barry Glassman wins, it will be the first time a Republican has won the office in more than 100 years (the last time was in 1898).
The primary is June 28, 2022.
